Capping one of the main portico doors in the California capitol's East Wing is this transportation themed bas-relief sculpture, circa 1950.  Executed in aluminum, it is the work of San Francisco based sculptor Olof C. Malmquist (1894-1975).  Photograph by Howard J. Partridge taken in April, 2006.
